Alex was imported from Germany by Olympia as a two year old Schutzhund 3 dog at the request of one of Olympia's regular customers. This was the second time Olympia imported a dog for these clients, and he would have big shoes to fill since his predecessor, Bronko, was an outstanding German Shepherd. But Alex had nothing to worry about, since he not only impressed his new owners with his ability as a working dog, he also quickly found his way into their hearts as their faithful friend and companion. Alex also had a career as a stud dog for Olympia Kennels, and sired many high quality puppies. His bloodline carries on through our own beautiful Flicka, one of our breeding females.
Alex had extensive training at Olympia as a home and personal protection dog, where he also had the chance to maintain his Schutzhund sport work. He was the ideal family protector, gracing his owners' lives with many years of love and companionship. As time went on, Mike developed a close friendship and working relationship with Alex's owners, Ray and Brenda Bourgeois. Their support and dedication to Olympia Kennels over the years has been greatly appreciated. We offer our sincere condolences on the loss of Alex, a dog we all admired.
