  Olympia's board and train program not only trains the dog, but the handler as well: First, we work with your dog. Next, we work with you. Finally, you work with your dog! By learning his new, positive habits from our experienced training staff, your dog gets to succeed from the very beginning. When we bring you into the picture, your dog will be ready to work for you, making your part of the learning process easy and fun. That's the Olympia Way!

We offer a board and train program where your dog comes to live with us in our country home.  We take a limited number of dogs at a time in order to ensure they receive the highest quality care and attention.  They sleep in a warm dry spacious wing of our home which allows us to offer 24 hour professional adult supervision.  Since their health and well-being is of utmost importance to us they are taken on trail walks everyday for essential exercise and conditioning.  We can keep them on the same food you are presently feeding to eliminate any irregularities due to a change in diet.  Here at Olympia we feed Solid Gold brand dry dog food and Oma's Pride Raw Diet.  Ask about our Optimal Strength and Conditioning Program through superior nutrition and effective exercise.

We will teach him to walk on a leash without pulling you down the street, to sit at your door so when you open it he won't rush out before you, we'll teach your dog to lie down and stay in a designated spot in your home while you are talking on the phone, eating dinner, and especially when friends come to visit.  Your dog will learn what "no" means. No means stop. No stealing food off the table, or sticking their nose in the trash.  Your dog will learn not to jump on guests when greeting them. We also teach your dog a drop-it command. If he grabs a sneaker or a sock and runs around the house, he will release it.  Outside, we work specifically on come when called, which the most important command.  We'll teach your dog to turn around and come back to you from a distance, even under distractions.

When you come to pick your dog up, you will start your first private lesson to teach you how to maintain the training that your dog has received here at Olympia Kennels.  Follow-up lessons are included in the price in order to ensure your dog is behaving as good for you as he did for us when you picked him up.
