Karen, Training came nearly to a halt over the winter, but if we work hard we should be able to go for a CDX by fall. Her retrieve is very good, very fast, but we've just started the retrieve over the jump; and I need to do the broad jump and out-of-sight stays. There's not much in her temperament I'd change. She combines high energy with being quite biddable, so the effect is good--jet-propelled recalls, for instance. She's a little sensitive about some things, is a complete crybaby about having her toenails trimmed. You remember that she was carsick all the time as a pup; that ended completely at some point, don't really remember when, but it took a while. She's smaller than she should be--only 50 pounds. She comes into heat every 3-4 months. I'm not set on breeding her--not completely decided against it either. No significant health issues that I can think of. Overall I'm very happy with her.

Hi Mike & Karen, Once again you all have helped us create another match made in heaven. At the initial introduction, Sophie and Sabrina(pictured below) exchanged a ton of kisses, did the doggie handshake thing, and immediately took off running together. Schroeder was watching through the glass door and after about an hour of us being outside...for Sophie to do her initial bath rooming bit of both species...we came inside. Maine coons are not timid and the initial meeting on that end went well… …As of today her ears are UP. She has the ears of her mama dog and her face is precious. People come over to visit us often and she's very social. I'll say it again...you all do such an extraordinary job of whelping your pups in every way. She's most adaptable to her new home, appears to be bonded to us, has no fear of anything, and is an excellent example of her breed… …Bottom line is that we absolutely adore her...and I think it's mutual. Your love for her was so apparent and I hope you know it means so much to us that we were able to bring her into our fold. We feel complete again with two shepherds. Sandy

“…Sabrina is working out very well as an integral part of our family. She's learning her house manners and commands well and growing by leaps and bounds. She's over 50 lbs. now. I'll take some up to date photos to forward to you. She's a very sensitive and highly intelligent little girl and at the same time full of herself...and we get tons of laughs all the time. She loves the snow and if she gets onto an icy patch in the back yard she spreads her toes and navigates pretty well. She saw her first deer at 3AM one morning and barked her high pitched scream thing...the deer went leaping off and Sabrina (who was in the fenced yard, of course) was imitating the leaping. It was comical but I'm sure the neighbors could hear her… She's been an angel since. Hope all's well on your end.” Hugs, Sandy

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the information on the phone. Hector is such a big, beautiful boy. Temperament perfect. Coat and physical attributes perfect. And he is smart as a whip! His training is going very well. We get compliments everywhere we go. What a walking advertisement for the breed (and Olympia). He is 9 months old and already 71 lbs! I've attached some pictures
Thanks, Lee

Hi Karen, Wanted to give you a quick update on Nico and ask a question. First of all, as you can see from the pictures, she is just gorgeous and continues to be the sweetest dog any of us have ever met. She is amazingly smart and gentle. Thank you again for everything :) ....I hope this finds you well and enjoying your summer. Thanks again, Diane
